Timothy, often referred to as Timmy, is Ensatina Desmognathus's ward, a young human boy who aside from Sashati Desmognathus, Ensatina's aunt, was the other survivor of the fire at the Desmognathus estate. He has since been quarantined in the Ruben Inn, which has been converted into a field hospital, as he has taken ill with the same affliction that has affected many of the villagers.
Timmy is an extremely weak boy with decaying flesh and a weak voice, who was found by Ensatina in the inn to be bed-bound. Sashati had since passed, only to come back to life and attack living things. When Ensatina and her companions decided to put Sashati to rest, many of the other infected villagers in the inn also turned into zombies and attacked Ensatina's group.
When they were defeated, Ensatina briefly spoke with Timmy, who recognised one of Ensatina's companions as Glamon, Ensatina's estranged sister who had ran away from home. Despite Ensatina's efforts to stop Timmy from speaking out, Timmy told Glamon that Ensatina had referred to Glamon as "a waste of DNA" and a "barstool" [sic]. Ensatina hoped that Timmy would get better and set off in search of a cure for him and to find out the truth about what happened at the Desmognathus estate.
After a long adventure, Ensatina returned with a cure for Timmy after using Esmerelda Caligo's blood to formulate it. On the verge of death, Timmy was quickly healed after consuming it, and hugged Ensatina in thanks. He was introduced properly to Glamon, whom Timmy said Ensatina had said "smelt fowl/foul" and hugged as well. He was also introduced to Ensatina's companions: Ragnar Fastflint, now the richest person on Epidicae and walking around with his chest hair exposed, and Adelliah of the Axe.
Afterwards, as a side-effect of the cure, he was turned into a lizard. After Ensatina figured out how to turn him back into a human, she asked him what he preferred. After asking Ensatina and Glamon for their opinions, who both largely decided it was Timmy's choice, he chose to remain as a lizard, liking his fringe.
